TECTON II showcases a new shopfitting concept
In Alberschwende, the gateway to the Bregenzerwald, Austria, a newly built, state-of-the-art SPAR supermarket has been ensuring local supply since March 2026. Covering approximately 670 square metres, the store offers a clearly structured shopping experience and consistently implements the SPAR Group's new shopfitting concept – with a generously designed delicatessen department at its centre. The TECTON II continuous-row lighting system showcases sales areas with targeted, aesthetically pleasing illumination, creating the ideal atmosphere to highlight products and enhance the overall shopping experience.
Spaciousness and visual comfort
With its innovative double-split lens, TECTON II creates a sense of spaciousness and visual comfort across the shop floor. The system achieves up to 211 lm/W and 10,700 lumens per metre. Rooms and products are showcased to optimum effect: TECTON II provides fruit and vegetables with subtle ambient lighting; V2 floodlights and vertical luminaires create an accentuated lit effect.
Perfectly staged lighting for every product
Meat and sausage products, fish, cheese, and bread are illuminated with specially tailored light that enhances their freshness while maintaining true-to-life colours.
Shelf lighting at the latest level
Wide Beam / Very Wide Beam optics illuminate shelves evenly and without shadows on every level – regardless of shelf height or product range. General and accent lighting as well as emergency lighting were integrated into TECTON II; loudspeakers, cameras and advertising signs were mechanically attached to the track. The light modules can be repositioned without tools and adapted to new product ranges. This keeps the system flexible. Of the 15 poles, 13 are occupied, including emergency lighting circuits, loudspeakers and a connection to the building control system. This leaves one pair of poles available for future expansion, without the need to lay additional cables or incur further costs.
"TECTON II fits perfectly into our new concept in terms of appearance and function. It illuminates the various sales areas in an appealing way and allows for individual components to be replaced, retrofitted or adapted for new applications. The minimalist timeless design enables long-term use."
